One day. The whole team. One shared criterion for deciding what gets built.

Impact-Driven Growth™ applied to the challenges your organization has on the table today. Product, marketing, business and leadership leave the workshop speaking the same language about impact, with a real challenge already worked through from start to finish.

A lot gets executed, little gets proven

Most organizations have no shortage of ideas. What they lack is criteria for choosing between them. Initiatives get launched, sprints get closed, features get shipped. And one question still has no clear answer when it reaches the board. What impact has this generated for the business?

Without a shared value metric, every area prioritizes by its own yardstick. Without a common language between product, marketing, customers and leadership, strategic decisions get settled by opinion and by who argues their case best.

Impact-Driven Growth™ (IDG™) is the framework that connects every decision to a measurable result. Developed and applied by Runroom for more than 20 years with clients across multiple sectors.

Six layers causally connected, from the value metric to the experiment that validates it

CPVM (Customer Perceived Value Metric)

The metric that measures the real value the business delivers to the customer

Impact metrics

The early signals that predict whether you're heading in the right direction

Outcomes

The behavior changes you need to trigger in the customer

Initiatives

What gets built, designed from strategic clarity

Hypotheses

Verifiable propositions connecting initiative, outcome and metric

Experiments

Empirical validation before committing resources at scale

The framework prioritizes learning and reduces risk. It's validated before committing resources at scale.

First the theory, at everyone's own pace. Then, a full day of application.

Phase 1. Before the workshop

Each participant completes the Runroom Academy online training on their own: videos, reference materials and exercises covering the framework's six layers. They arrive at the session already understanding the framework.

Phase 2. The workshop

Since the group already knows the theory, the whole day is spent applying it. Teams work on the IDG™ Impact Architecture Canvas, with sticky notes, directly on the organization's real challenges. No generic case studies.

That's the difference versus just doing the online training. The team ends the day with the framework already applied to something they have on the table.

An applied workshop

Teams go through the framework's six layers, from CPVM to experiment, on one or more real challenges agreed on beforehand with the organization. Pace and breaks adjust to the team's context and availability.

The specific challenge is defined before the session, so the day starts producing from the first hour.

What you walk away with at the end of the day

  • A shared language between product, marketing, customer and leadership to talk about impact without ambiguity
  • The CPVM of a real challenge, formulated and reviewed during the workshop
  • An initial map of outcomes and hypotheses connected to that challenge, ready to become experiments
  • A shared criterion for deciding what gets built first and how it's measured, beyond the workshop itself
  • A validation mindset: testing with hypotheses and experiments before committing resources at scale, on every initiative that comes next

In-company or open edition?

The open editions of IDG™ for Product, Marketing and Customer Experience allow a maximum of 4 people from the same company. They're the way to train one or two people, or to try the framework before bringing it to the whole organization.

From 15 participants onward, in-company offers a better price per person. And from 5 onward, it's what lets the whole team go through the framework together, on your own challenges.

If we limit ourselves to producing more output without looking at the outcome, we only generate waste. In a context where AI accelerates delivery, the challenge isn't to execute faster — it's to know what's worth executing.

The model achieves something unusual: it tackles complexity without reducing it to recipes. It forces you to start from real business impact and work backwards. That deeply changes how you think about problems.

I left rethinking how I work from day one. The training helped me structure strategic thinking in a context where building with AI has near-zero cost — exactly where clarity is needed most.
